Wolferlow Wigwams
If you want to escape to the countryside, to somewhere you can really hide away, then Wolferlow Wigwam Holidays site is for you! We offer peace and tranquility- a place to relax, unwind and to enjoy quality time with the family. Our farm is in a very rural location, which is well off the beaten track, away from any busy roads and yet only 40 minutes from the M5. You will be amazed at the quiet, the stillness, the sounds of birds singing, the wide clear skies, and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets.Where is 'Wolferlow'?
Wolferlow is a small hamlet situated high up in the uplands of North-East Herefordshire, offering commanding views in all directions. By taking a short stroll to the highest part of the farm you can see:
- To the East - over Worcestershire to the Cotswolds and Malverns.
- To the South - Bromyard Downs and further on to Marcle Ridge near Ross-on-Wye and Hereford.
- To the West - the Black Mountains and Hay Buff, Mortimer Forest and the Welsh Hills around Kington and Knighton.
- To the North - the Clee Hills and the beautiful Teme Valley up through South Shropshire to the Long Myndd at Church Stretton.
- This is truly an area of outstanding natural beauty, which gave Elgar and Houseman their inspiration.
Bring granny and granddad along- they will enjoy staying in a Wigwam, as it's comfy camping that's perfect for all ages. Relax and enjoy evenings around the campfire, or enjoy a meal in one of our local pubs. We also have very good kitchen and dining room facilities if you need to eat or party indoors.
Make your own fun- play ball games with the kids, go exploring around the farm or take longer walks along a number of bridleways and footpaths through the Upper Frome and Kyre Valleys. Children have the space to kick around a football and just love the opportunity to run around and have good fun.
There is a wealth of history in the Welsh Marches. Visit the small market towns, quaint villages, castles, historic houses, and lovely little village churches. For the more adventurous, there are lots of opportunities to be active, including: mountain biking in the Mortimer Forest, cycling in in the Forest of Dean and Wyre Forest, go carting, grass boarding, water skiing, horse riding, fishing and golf (Sapey Golf Club close by). There is something for everyone to experience.
Attractions on our doorstep include a visit to see the elephants and lions at the West Midlands Safari Park, or a ride on the Severn Valley Railway. Warren Farm and Short Wood Farm are perfect for family playtime with the animals, or you can take a Landrover Experience in the grounds of Eastnor Castle.
Wigwam Cabins are ideal for all ages- families with young children and older people will be surprised at how comfortable sleeping in a Wigwam is. We welcome group stays, family get-togethers, friend reunions, bikers, bird watching enthusiasts, adventures and anyone else who wants to experience a great holiday in the great outdoors. There's something for everyone to enjoy, and you are welcome to bring your dog as well.
We're also a place to party- book the whole site for your informal wedding party, birthday, or a hen or stag weekend.
