Your luxury Wigwam Cabin is set in a secluded spot on a beautiful working farm in the Wolds Valley in North Yorkshire, where a warm welcome awaits you (and your pooch, if you choose to bring your furry pal on your glamping break!).

Our WigwamCabins include Big Chiefs, Running Water Deluxes (with hot tubs) and Lodges (with hot tubs).

Just over eight miles from Scarborough, and close to the villages of Staxton and Flixton, Wigwam Holidays Humble Bee provides an idyllic base for you and your loved ones as you enjoy all that the local area has to offer whilst giving you easy access to the wider Yorkshire attractions.

Humble Bee Farm has a mix of Wigwam®  Lodges with hot tubs, Running Water Deluxe Cabins with hot tubs, Big Chief Cabins, Yurts, camping and bell tents. The site also includes 'The Hive', a cafe bar that offers takeaway drinks, a tasty meal, barista coffee, and an alfresco dining area. Breakfast sandwiches, pizzas, burgers, and cakes are also available at peak times. Next door you'll find the onsite shop with souvenirs, firepit timber, locally sourced beers, wine, and prosecco. 

Also onsite we have our nomadic yurts, two electric tourer pitches, five onsite non-ehu pitches and new for 2024, Piggy Back Field non-electric camp site (open early May to early September).

Guests staying onsite can also hire the BBQ Hut for an additional tariff.

Onsite facilities included in the accommodation tariff includes: Farmer Percy Club each morning (peak times); the Indoor Play Barn, outdoor football field and play area, farm walks (three in total including one interactive one), the Reflection Garden, the Farmyard Gang (including booking to groom Tilly the shetland pony) and more.

We also have onsite for guests only The Hive cafe bar which serves barista coffees, breakfast rolls, cooked breakfast, light bites and pizza nights at peak times.

Our working farm includes farm walks, a Nature Trail, a bird hide, football area, onsite shop/reception, duck pond and the farmyard gang to keep you occupied when you stay with us. Our local area includes steam railways, stunning swimming pools, historic castles, two National Trails, the North York Moors National Park, stately homes and lots more … something for everyone.

Wander along the nature trails, feed the hens, collect an egg for breakfast or join in on nature and conservation events, hosted by the farm throughout the year.

A day out to Filey or Scarborough!

These popular seaside resorts are great for families and couples looking to catch the sea air, away from the smoggy cities and towns. They have a peaceful beach, with plenty of rock pooling opportunities. Ice creams and donkey rides are available in the summer months - providing the little ones with lots of fun and laughter, and the older ones a chance to reminisce about their own childhood holidays in a traditional British seaside resort. 

When the sandy fun comes to an end, the nearby beach cafe is a great spot for people watching and enjoying some tasty food. You can also enjoy local fish and chips, or have some games in the amusements!

Weather its go-ape, bike rides, nature trails, or picnics near the park you are looking for, Dalby has it all! Only a short drive from Humble Bee this forest has plenty for a fun packed day out for the whole family! 

North Yorkshire Water Park!

Make a splash and challenge yourself at one of the largest expanses of water in North Yorkshire. Part of The Dawnay Estates in Wykeham, we offer a range of fun and exciting activities for everyone to enjoy!

Blast on our floating inflatable AquaPark, one of the largest in the region, with its huge five metre high slide, climbing walls, trampolines, balance bars and a Blast Bag or try a new skill and learn how to kayak, stand up paddle board or sail.

Challenge yourself and experience open water swimming in our beautiful lake, stroll around our 2.5km all-terrain walking and cycling lakeside track or take a peaceful trip on one of our mini electric boats or pedalos.

Our lakeside café serves delicious hot and cold food and drinks surrounded by picturesque countryside.

In your Big Chief Wigwam Wigwam you will find a microwave and outside there is a BBQ available. Delxue Wigwams have a charcoal BBQ, microwave and a 1 ring electric hob. Premium Wigwam lodges have a fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, micowave and a charcoal BBQ outside.

We recommend the following as essential items to bring:

Yes you can order extras when making a booking. Wigwam extras are optional and are not included in the standard tariff. Wigwam Extras give you chance to choose your special treat and tailor it to your individual requirements, and include anything from a bag of marshmallows up to luxury bedding and fairy lights, depending on the Wigwam type.
You can park one vehicle adjacent to your Wigwam Cabin.

Our Premium Wigwam Lodges and Deluxe Wigwams have electric hot tubs. These are private to each accommodation.
We ask everyone to arrive from 15.00 and no earlier.
We ask all guests to arrive before 17.00 unless by prior arrangement.
We ask all guests to please vacate the Wigwam Cabin by 10.00 (at the latest) on the day of departure.
We have a shop onsite that is open daily from 9am to 5pm, depending on the time of year.
We have two separate facility blocks on the site. We have a family shower room, which includes a shower, loo, sink and baby changing.

Available to hire for your special occasion here at Humble Bee Farm, offering Scandinavian cosiness which allows you to enjoy a delicious BBQ, whatever the weather! Situated in a peaceful part of our site, perfect for a family or friends’ gathering, booking required at £100 for one evening. We can also provide a locally-sourced bbq pack (please inform us of any food intolerances).

Seats 16 guests, however due to current government guidance the maximum guests is currently six persons ONLY. The six guests using the BBQ hut will need to socially distance and wear masks if appropriate. There a sanitisers around the site and also hand washing facilities in the toilets and showers.

The nearest pub or restaurant is 1.5 miles away. Some we reccommend are the Fox hounds in Flixton, The Mayfield in Seamer, The Copper Horse in Seamer or the Farrier in Cayton.

The nearest mini-supermarket is Proudfoots in Seamer, a village just off the A64 between Staxton and Scarborough. Proudfoots opening times are 6.30am to 9pm Monday to Saturday, 8am to 9pm Sunday.

Within five miles there is a Morrisons (just off the A64); there is also a small range of supermarkets, including Tesco, in Filey (also about five miles away). In Scarborough there is Sainsburys and Tesco. Opening times vary.

A bus service operates during the summer season from Flixton village, and there is also a bus service from Staxton Roundabout. We do recommend bringing your own transport to make the most of our rural lcoation and visiting all the local beauty spots.
Unfortunately not, however we do have wifi available for guests and you can get a mobile signal at the top of our drive way.
Yes - Deluxe Wigwams and Premium Wigwam lodges have free wifi access throughout their stay all other accommodation is chargeable per 24hrs.
Humble Bee Farm has built its reputation on being a peaceful location at which to enjoy your holiday. We don't allow music; children must not play on the play area after 9pm; conversation-level noise only after 9.00pm. We ask all our guests to follow these simple steps so everyone can relax and enjoy their time at Humble Bee Farm.
Yes, you can bring your dog. We allow one dog per Wigwam. A tariff applies. Please call us for further information on 01723 890437. Dogs MUST be kept on a lead at all times. We have several farm walks around the farm, which are suitable for dog walking. Please ask us for details.
The short answer is 'yes'! Each Wigwam is fully heated, with an electric heater included. The Wigwam Cabins are particularly well insulated and retain the heat. That is why our Wigwam Cabins can be booked 365 days a year!
Our Big Chief Wigwam Cabins sleep up to five guests in each, our Running Water Wigwam Cabins sleep four guests in each. The premium wigwam lodges sleep up to a family of 6. 4 adults max. They are also spacious enough accommodate a travel cot.
We have an onsite shop/reception which during peak season sells bread, milk, eggs, cold drinks, icecream, sweets, souvenirs, some toiletries, tea, coffee, jam, butter, cereals, biscuits, toys, games and other items.
Humble Bee Farm is perfectly located for some of the finest beaches in the country. Hunmanby Gap is a hidden gem and is about four miles away. Filey Bay is delightful and is about five miles away. Scarborough has two fabulous bays, North and South (about 10 miles away). Bridlington is also a great seaside destination is about 15 miles away. Please note: If you have dogs, there are dog restrictions on most Yorkshire Coast beaches from May to September inclusive. And don't forget to bear in mind there are two tides a day!

There are so many cycle routes close to the farm and one of them is the Cinder Path between Scarborough and Whitby. The Cinder Path follows the former railway route between the two seaside towns and some of it is covered by cinders so this can be tricky for certain types of bike tyre.The good thing about the route is the majority of it is fairly flat and the starting point is roughly a 20-minute drive from Humble Bee Farm.

The track itself is now an inland path which runs parallel to the more arduous Cleveland Way National Trail, one of the most spectacular long-distance rambling paths in England and is definitely NOT suitable for tackling on two wheels! So, the whole Cinder Track route is approximately 21 miles from Scarborough to Whitby, and of course there’s the return journey to consider.

During the spring, the route is so tranquil and colourful with fresh leaves on the trees and countless spring flowers dotting the route. There is also the smell of wild garlic and bluebells along certain stretches … your senses can go into overdrive and it is stunning to see. The route passes through a number of pretty villages including Scalby, Cloughton, Hayburn Wyke, Ravenscar and Boggle Hole (one of our Big Chief Wigwam Cabins is named after this little seaside village).

Also, it is advisable to wear a cycling helmet as there are some rough stretches along the route. Certain parts of the track fall within the North York Moors National Park and if you tackled the whole route, then it’s a 42-mile return trek.
